Abstract
|

I inquired into ´Yongdamyusa´ written by Suwoon (Choi, Jae-Woo), the book of literary works ´Kasa´ with a view to explaining Suwoon´s critical recogonition and the thought of `Lord-worshipping´ and `KaeByok´(Great Opening). The point of argument in this study can be summarized as follow.
1) Suwoon criticized the going wrong society and the mundane world. Peoples of the day were against natural span of life and made living at their pleases. He also commented on Catholicism because of his Teaching was indicated Catholicism and asserted the Teaching was not same with it.
2) His thought of Lord-worshipping is a new faith. So `Eastern-Teaching´ established by him is not originated in synthesis of Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism and Shamanism.
3) The thought of KaeByok is the reforming process of passing from `First Heaven´ to ´Later Heaven´. He gave an advance notice that there will be nameless disease for three years on the earth in the process. After going through the process of Disease disaster, it will be accomplished an fairly land, Paradise.
4) When Later Heaven comes all things and ideologys will unified by Lord´s Great Principle.
But Suwoon´s Teaching is not easy to belive because of preoccupied idea and profundity in itself.
